Worship Leader

Jesse Duncan

Sunnyside Wesleyan Church

Ottawa, ON

Jesse grew up coming to kids camp and family camp off and on at Zion Hill and now is on staff as one of the pastors at Sunnyside Wesleyan Church in Ottawa.

Jesse grew up in a Christian family in Trenton and met his wife in grade 9 through a performing arts team connected with Youth For Christ. He moved to Ottawa where he attended and graduated from Algonquin College with his degree as a Pastry Chef. A few years after graduating though he felt a call into ministry and traded in his apron to pursue God’s call on his life in the church.

He has a real passion for music and has been involved in worship ministries for over 17 years at various churches and conferences. As well as a deep passion for the young adults in our world. Helping them to transition from living with their parents to discovering their faith for themselves as the start their life out on their own.

When he’s not at the church he can be found out in nature either hiking or camping, watching his kids play soccer or at their dance recitals, trying to escape an Escape Room with friends, on a road trip, watching a musical at the local theatre, or having kitchen dance parties with his wife Samantha, and children Madelyn and Caleb.

Youth Leader

Nathan Huff

Sunnyside Wesleyan Church

Ottawa, ON

Nate Huff grew up as a Pastor’s kid in Elliot Lake, a small town in Northern Ontario.  At age 14 he heard God calling him to be His child and never looked back.  During his high school years, Nate developed a love for helping those around him discover who God was and the full life He has instore for them.  At age 15 he felt led to pursue his love of sharing Jesus as a vocation and so continued further education and received his BA in Biblical Studies and Theology from Tyndale University and his Master of Theology from Tyndale Seminary.

Nate has served 5 years in full time pastoral ministry along with over a decade ministering to youth through camp and other various ministries.  He loves helping the next generation discover who they are and helping them see the invitation Jesus has to begin journeying with them in their lives.

Nate is married to his wife Sammantha and lives in Ottawa with their King Shepherd dog, Oswald and black cat Hunter Lewis.  You can usually find him sipping a good cup of coffee, watching Star Wars, building a Lego set, or listening to a podcast.
